The French Swimming Federation (FFN) is officially launching the renovated French Swimming School (ENF), a modernized and inclusive educational course for all audiences aged 4 and up, aiming to revolutionize the learning of swimming and the discovery of aquatic disciplines.
This renovated ENF is structured around three key stages, designed to promote aquatic ease, secure participants and encourage sustainable practice: Aquatic Ease for early familiarization with water, Safety Swimming Skills for fundamental anti-drowning skills, and Water Sports Passes (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to explore six aquatic disciplines via a fun and structured progression. Accessible to children, adolescents, adults and families, this system places pleasure, progression and inclusiveness at the heart of the experience, ideally complementing the competitive path. More modern and interactive, it responds to societal issues such as the prevention of drownings – still too frequent in France – while diversifying the offers to retain and attract new audiences.
Collective mobilization of the federal network
After months of intensive training, webinars and deployment of digital educational tools, all clubs, educators and partner structures are ready to deploy this offer. These modernized supports offer a clear reading of the routes and objectives, promoting human and progressive appropriation by those involved in the field. From 2026, the FFN will support the network to refine the tools and enrich the content, ensuring the sustainability of this structuring project dedicated to the territorial development of aquatic practices.
Strategic issues
This renovation of the ENF represents a major lever for the discipline: by strengthening the base of practitioners (loyalty estimated to be increasing via evolving courses), it boosts club affiliations, federal events and sponsorship partnerships – like the 2026 European Championships in Paris. By capturing new audiences and diversifying practices (racing swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving, fin swimming, etc.), the FFN positions swimming as an inclusive and profitable ecosystem, aligned with public health and education priorities.
The dedicated site already centralizes resources and registrations, marking the start of a “new adventure” for the sector. Sport Strategies welcomes this proactive initiative, a pillar of a sustainable and attractive blue sport.
